Healthcare invoice to private person from another country
It is important for you as a tourist in Sweden to be aware of what is required for you to be entitled to subsidized healthcare costs. If you are not residing in an EU/EEA country or one of the countries with which Sweden has a healthcare agreement, it is important that you have private health insurance that covers the costs of the care you may need during your trip. If valid documentation or private health insurance is missing, you will be required to pay the full healthcare cost yourself.

- If you have questions about the care you have received, contact the reception or the ward.
- To order copies of medical records, you need to contact the hospital where you were treated.
- If you have private health insurance, you are responsible for reporting illness/injury to your insurance company. In cases where the insurance company is to be invoiced by VGR, Sold Care requires a guarantee of payment from your insurance company and that the healthcare cost has not yet been paid. Ask the insurance company to contact Sold Care via email.
- Paid healthcare costs will not be reimbursed if you subsequently present a provisional certificate of EU card possession. Instead, contact the insurance institution in your country of residence to apply for reimbursement.
- For invoice questions regarding due date, payment details, and receipt for paid invoice, you are welcome to contact Sold Care.
