Audionommottagning audiology clinics & Hörselteam hearing units

If you suffer from a hearing impairment, deafness, or deafblindness, we can provide you with support and rehabilitation services.

First, please contact your local healthcare centre (vårdcentral), where the staff will check that your ears are free from wax and test your hearing. If they find that you need help with your hearing and you also want help, they will send us a referral.

You can also send us a self-referral, but to be given an appointment at our clinics you will still need to have an officially diagnosed hearing impairment. Log in on the 1177.se website to write a self-referral. If you can’t use this website for any reason, you can fill out and send in a self-referral form to your nearest clinic instead.

Hörselteam hearing units for children & young people

Hörselteam hearing units provide support for children and youths under the age of 20 who suffer from a hearing impairment. In most cases, a young person’s hearing impairment is first discovered at a children’s healthcare centre (barnavårdscentral), and the centre then refers the young person to us.

Dövteam support team for deaf adults using sign language

If you are deaf, use sign language and are 18 years or older, you can receive psychosocial and learning support in sign language from Dövteam. Most of Dövteam’s patients are referred to us by other healthcare providers. You can also send in a self-referral by logging in on the 1177.se website or by contacting our clinic via text telephone or videophone.

Alternativ Telefoni telecommunication aids unit

If you suffer from a hearing impairment, deafness, or deafblindness, or have an impairment that affects your speech, voice, or language, the Alternativ Telefoni unit can prescribe a telecommunication aid for you. Most of Alternativ Telefoni’s patients are referred to us by other healthcare providers. You can also send us a self-referral by logging in on the 1177.se website.
