About the research group MIDAR
This group is deeply involved in international research collaborations including the universities in Utrecht and Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Oxford and Southampton in the UK, Lodz in Poland, Oslo in Norway and Gothenburg in Sweden.
The research group is involved in the European international research collaboration ImpresU (Improving rational prescribing for UTI in the frail elderly) consisting of three work packages:
1) Identifying factors contributing to antibiotic prescribing for urinary tract infections (UTI) in elderly care,
2) A randomized multifaceted antibiotic stewardship intervention study to evaluate this intervention and
3) a randomised controlled trial to evaluate methenaminehippurate as a prophylactic treatment in patients with recurrent UTI.
