Konservierung und Restaurierung von Objekten aus Holz Fachhochschule, Potsdam, Germany

I am studying conservation of wooden objects in my second year. Before I started studying, I had already worked in two different conservation studios. In this internship I wanted to look more closely at different techniques of furniture conservation. During my five month stay at SVK I mainly worked with a canoe. It was a really interesting and challenging work. I had enough time to try different methods and find out the best solution. Because I was so well instructed, I learned a lot. In addition I was able to see the other material sections at SVK and to learn more about them. All in all I was really happy to be at SVK and felt very welcomed.
