Researchers within the research group

Sandra Weineland’s research interests are first line psychiatry, behavioural medicine, digital psychology, and implementation. The research is characterised by, among other things, developing treatment models that form the basis for new interventions.

In 2012, Sandra Weineland defended her thesis entitled  A Contextual Behavioral Approach for Obesity Surgery Patients.

Sandra Weineland is associate professor and specialist psychologist in psychological interventions. She is scientific supervisor at R&D primary health care and affiliated to the Department of Psychology at the University of Gothenburg. In parallel to her work at the clinics for obesity, psychiatry and primary care, Sandra Weineland has conducted clinical research. During the last years, Sandra Weineland has developed a digital consulting room within primary care, where research projects take place in the clinical environment.

Besides research and education, she has dedicated time to sharing psychological knowledge through writing books for therapists and patients and participating in research councils within Region Västra Götaland.

Cecilia Björkelund’s conducts clinical research within the field of general practice/primary health care, with a focus on mental illness and stress, but also lifestyle habit interventions and prevention in a broad sense.

Dominique Hange conducts research in general practice, psychosomatic aspects, and stress in a population study on women and mental illness in primary care.

In 2009, Dominique Hange defended her thesis Psychosomatic aspects of women's health - results from the Prospective Population Study of Women in Gothenburg.

Ingmarie Skoglund conducts research within the areas of depression, anxiety, and stress-related exhaustion disorders, sick leave, rehabilitation, and infections, all within primary care.

In 2012, Ingmarie Skoglund defended her thesis Prescribing drugs in primary health care - Thoughts, information strategy and outcome. 

Ingmarie Skoglund has a PhD in medicine, adjunct lecturer and supervisor at the Research and Development centre Södra Älvsborg and, General Practice/Family medicine, School of Public Health and Community Medicine, Institute of Medicine, Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Research, Development, Education and Innovation, Primary Health Care, Region Västra Götaland. She works as a general practitioner at Närhälsan Sandared primary health care centre.

Publications

Gun Rembeck’s research interests concern psychological health, health in children and adolescents, sexual and reproductive health, transition phases in life, and public health.

In 2008, Gun Rembeck defended her thesis entitled The winding road to womanhood.

Gun Rembeck has a PhD in medicine, is a licensed midwife and work at the youth health clinic in Borås. Gun Rembeck is an R&D strategist within Research and Development primary care and adjunct university lecturer in primary health care. She supervises PhD students and teaches at post-graduate level. Gun Rembeck is a member of an international research network, ISTAR, and has collaboration with James Cook University in Australia that includes studies on Papa Nya Guinea. Gun Rembeck is responsible for developing courses in research methodology for people in leading positions in primary care. For several years Gun Rembeck has been regional development manager for the project database Researchweb. Gun Rembeck has many years’ experience of youth clinic work, including coordination, management, and developing the organization from start.

Andrea Mikkelsen’s research interests are paediatrics and food hypersensitivity.

In 2014, Andrea Mikkelsen defended her thesis Children’s hypersensitivity to cow’s milk- Public health aspects and impact on families.

Andrea Mikkelsen is a supervisor at the R&D Centre Göteborg and Södra Bohuslän. She also works part time as a paediatric dietician within paediatric and adolescent medicine at Regionhälsan.

Andrea Mikkelsen is a member of The Swedish association of clinical dieticians’ reference groups for paediatrics and food hypersensitivity. She represents the European Federation of Associations of Dieticians (EFAD) in the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). She gives lectures at the program for dieticians at the Sahlgrenska Academy at University of Gothenburg. She is often hired as a lecturer and consultant for patients’ organisations, health care employees and the food industry.

Josefine Liljas’ field of interest concerns adolescents’ psychological health, such as iCBT interventions for adolescents and mindfulness-based interventions.

In 2016, Josefine Lilja defended her thesis entitled "Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy in Primary Care".

Josefine Lilja is a specialist psychologist in psychological interventions. She is scientific supervisor at R&D primary health care and affiliated to the Department of Psychology at the University of Gothenburg. Josefine Lilja is currently working partly as project manager at a Youth Health centre (Ungas Psykiska Hälsa) at Närhälsan Dalaberg primary health care centre and partly with a preventive primary care project for young people who are at risk of falling ill in depression.

Josefine Lilja is also scientific supervisor for students at the psychotherapist program at the Department of Psychology, University of Gothenburg, and intern psychologists and resident physicians within primary care. She is also engaged in the Council for Psychology in Närhälsan and in the process team for Suicide prevention.

Publications

Christina Blomdahl’s main research areas are mental health and evaluation of treatments. Christina Blomdahl leads two research groups: Art therapy for depression and/or exhaustion syndrome and intensive treatment for PTSD.

In 2017, Christina Blomdahl defended her thesis Painting from Within - Developing and Evaluating a Manual-based Art therapy for Patients with Depression.

Christina Blomdahl is a registered occupational therapist, MSc in Art Therapy, and Doctor of Philosophy. She is an R&D strategist at the Research and Development primary care centre Södra Älvsborg, where she is Regional development manager for the project database Researchweb. She also works as development manager at the psychiatric clinic, Södra Älvsborg Hospital, with responsibility for competence development and research at the clinic. She supervises students with different professions and different academic backgrounds in the area of mental ill-health.

Anna Holst is a clinical researcher in the field of general practice, with a focus on internet-based interventions and health economics.

In 2019, Anna Holst defended her thesis entitled Aspects of cost-effectiveness and feasibility of implementations for care of depressed persons in primary care - internet-based treatment and care manager organisation.

Lena Rindner’s research interests are health-related mental, physical, and urogenital health in women 45-60 years old with stress-related symptoms.

Lena Rindner is working on her thesis Women’s health in the midlife - a person-centered approach in primary care - effects on mental, somatic and urogenital symptoms and quality of life.

Lena Rindner is a district nurse at Närhälsan Södra Torget primary health care centre and a PhD student at the General Practice/Family medicine, School of Public Health and Community Medicine, Institute of Medicine, Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Research, Development, Education and Innovation, Primary Health Care, Region Västra Götaland.

Lena Rindner leads the project “Women’s health – in the middle of life”, offering an educational programme about topics related to social, mental, physical, and urogenital health in women between 45-60 with stress-related symptoms. The project has received special national funding aiming to strengthen efforts for women’s health.

Märit Löfgren conducts research and clinical development work on patients with complex ill-health and long-standing health-related reduced work capacity.

Märit Löfgren is a general practitioner and a PhD student at the General Practice/Family medicine, School of Public Health and Community Medicine, Institute of Medicine, Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Research, Development, Education and Innovation, Primary Health Care, Region Västra Götaland. She is also a civil engineer with a degree in industrial economics from Chalmers University of Technology.

Märit Löfgren works clinically at Praktikertjänst Herkulus primary health care centre in Borås. Her thesis focuses on return to work, health literacy, biopsychosocial models, patient participation in care, and collaboration between primary health care and other stakeholders.

Linnea Nissling’ s fields of interest are internet-based interventions for patients within primary care and peer support.

Linnea Nissling is a licensed psychologist and PhD student at the Department of Psychology, University of Gothenburg, and R&D primary care, Södra Älvsborg. As a psychologist she works part time at a digital psychology unit in Närhälsan Södra Älvsborg.

Her thesis will focus on patient perspectives of internet-based intervention and digital care in primary care.

Sofia Hammarströms’ field of interest is adolescents’ sexual health, more specifically, adolescent’s at risk for sexual ill health.

Sofia Hammarström has a master’s degree in public health science. Sofia Hammarström works at the Knowledge centre for sexual health in Region Västra Götaland in parallel to PhD studies at the Department for health, medicine and caring service at Linköping University. Within the frame of her thesis, she has developed a method named SEXIT (SEXual health Identification Tool), which has been implemented at youth health clinics in Region Västra Götaland in a pilot study.

Publications

Marie Persson’s conducts research on long-standing pain and migraine. Her thesis will focus on whether it is possible in primary care to prevent episodic migraine from developing into chronic migraine.

Marie Persson is a licensed psychologist, specialised in clinical psychology. She works clinically at Närhälsan Ulricehamn, Närhälsan Online and at a digital psychology centre, the EBBA-team, all in Närhälsan Södra Älvsborg. Marie Persson is a PhD student at the General Practice/Family medicine, School of Public Health and Community Medicine, Institute of Medicine, Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Research, Development, Education and Innovation, Primary Health Care, Region Västra Götaland. She receives financial support from the Research and Development centre Södra Älvsborg.

Helena Lorén’s area of research concerns the interaction between child and parent as an important key to children’s future health and ill-health.

Helena Lorén is a district nurse and PhD Student at General Practice/Family medicine, School of Public Health and Community Medicine, Institute of Medicine, Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Research, Development, Education and Innovation, Primary Health Care, Region Västra Götaland. She works clinically at Dalsjöfors health care centre mainly within paediatric and adolescent medicine and is engaged in preventive health care and health psychology.

In her thesis she will focus on preventing future ill-heath in children through identifying barriers and facilitators in the transition to parenthood and developing a digital parental support program.

Anna Larssons’ field of interest is in health psychology and processed-based internet CBT for sleeping disorders.

Anna Larsson works as a research assistant in the IMPACT-project (internet CBT for adolescents) and conducts a study about processed-based internet CBT for sleeping disorders.

Anna Larsson is a psychologist specializing in clinical psychology. She has experience of clinical work as psychologist within primary care and work with patients at Närhälsan Dalsjöfors primary health care centre, Närhälsan Online, and the Ebba-team, a centre for internet CBT in Södra Älvsborg.
