Habilitation
If you have a permanent functional impairment, such as autism, an intellectual disability, or a mobility impairment, for example, you can receive care and support at a habilitation clinic.
Together, we use expertise, strategies and training to improve or compensate for the abilities affected by your functional impairment. We have clinics both for children and young people and for adults.
You will need either a referral from a healthcare provider (remiss) or a self-referral (egenremiss) to be able to book an appointment at our clinics. Most of our patients are referred to us by a doctor or psychologist. If you send us a self-referral, it must include a doctor’s certificate or an assessment by a psychologist confirming that you have an official diagnosis and are currently in need of support and treatment. Log in on the 1177.se website to write a self-referral. If you can’t use this website for any reason, you can fill out and send in a self-referral form to your nearest clinic instead.
