Seminars in English
The seminars in English Wednesday 24th of September
11:45 - 12:30 Biodiversity - Strategic Approaches and Initiatives for Enhancing Biodiversity in the EU
With the recent adoption of the EU Nature Restoration Law, we must now consider our path forward. How can we ensure the efficient implementation of biodiversity initiatives at European, national, regional, and local levels? What additional policies and instruments are necessary to strengthen biodiversity in the EU?
In this session, we will explore various mechanisms for enhancing biodiversity, including both policy and financing. We will journey through Europe, exploring examples such as the principles of "avoid-mitigate-compensate" from Occitanie in France, and learning how Plzen in the Czech Republic is reinforcing biodiversity through the Healthy Landscapes project, just to mention a few.
We will learn about good regional examples of how to enhance biodiversity and explore common areas of cooperation.
