Research area

In my clinical work as a doctor in General Medicine, I have always been interested in working with patients with mental illness. My interest in stress-related illness and fatigue syndrome was sparked during my ST internship in General Medicine and the desire to deepen my knowledge in the area in order to better understand and be able to help patients.

My research in my doctoral internship focuses primarily on long-term follow-up of patients who have been treated for fatigue syndrome at the Institute for Stress Medicine (ISM). Among other things, I will look at remaining symptoms, stressors and what changes the patients have made in their working lives up to 7-10 years after becoming ill.

I also work with the PRIMA project, a research project where, by involving the employer of patients with stress-related mental illness early, we want to contribute to patients returning to work.

Teaching

I lecture to medical students in semesters seven and ten about stress-related illness and lifestyle. I also lecture to AT/ST physicians on stress-related mental health, burnout syndrome, and physician stress.
