Research area / research interest
My research area revolves around stress-related ill health, with a particular focus on the development of burnout and its relationship with work environment factors. With a background as a nurse and a master's degree in public health, I have a strong interest in working more preventively. Since long-term sick leave due to mental illness, especially stress-related diagnoses such as fatigue syndrome, is a significant challenge in today's working life, it is important to understand and prevent these conditions.

Ongoing research studies

I am a PhD student at the Institute for Stress Medicine with affiliation at the Division of Community Medicine and Public Health, Department of Medicine at the University of Gothenburg. My PhD studies focus on understanding the development of burnout through the use of the Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT), with the aim of establishing clinical reference values, analyzing symptom development over time and investigating the relationships with work environment factors in healthcare. The doctoral project includes both cross-sectional and longitudinal studies, with data from, among other things, representative samples of health care professionals. By analyzing these data, we aim to contribute to increased knowledge about how stress-related ill health and burnout can be detected and prevented in the workplace and thereby promote a sustainable working life.
