Outdoor Nature-Tourism Program

In the outdoor nature-tourism program, we want you to have the opportunity to not only work seasonally but also to be employable all year long. You'll have the opportunity to learn more about business, drive ATV (all-terrain vehicle), chainsaw, and clearing saw, as well as discover more about our magnificent nature and current laws and regulations.

The program is designed to provide students with hands-on experiences in nature while also promoting sustainability. The courses and events are conducted in forests, mountains, water, and the city, and there is close cooperation with industry partners. The teachers are specially trained in various outdoor activities, such as mountain biking, skiing, sea kayaking, fishing, hunting, trekking, and survival training, which allows them to provide practical and engaging learning opportunities.

The 15-week internship at a company in the hospitality industry is an excellent way for students to gain real-world experience and learn about different career paths. Additionally, educational trips to the Swedish/Norwegian mountain or Europe provide opportunities for students to learn about different cultures and environments.

During the first year, we jointly develop your basic knowledge in experiential tourism with a focus on safety, sustainability, and future leadership. During the training and the APL periods (work-based learning), you will improve your leadership.

The range of potential occupations, such as ski instructor, tour guide, and outdoor product seller, suggests that graduates could pursue a variety of careers in this industry.

Additionally, the certifications in climbing, skiing, and paddling could be valuable credentials for those who want to work in this field, such as guiding or coaching. The emphasis in the program is on leadership and outdoor safety could also prepare you for careers in law enforcement, the military, or outdoor education.
