Your Stay at the Hospital

The hospital includes a café, pharmacy, library, Wi-Fi service and other amenities for the convenience of both patients and visitors during their visit to the hospital.

Phone, Internet, TV & Radio

If you bring your own mobile phone, laptop computer, or tablet with you to the hospital, you are welcome to connect to our open network (VGR Publikt) and use the Internet free of charge. When using a laptop computer, make sure that there is plenty of space and good airflow around it, so that it does not overheat and becomes a fire hazard.

If you do not have your own mobile phone, you can rent a telephone. The invoice for the telephone rental and call costs will be sent to your home address.

You are welcome to watch TV in the day rooms. You will find a radio in your room.

Please remember that your use of computers and mobile phones must not disturb your own or others’ medical care. Please respect others and do not disturb them when talking on your phone.

Mealtimes

Three main meals are served in the nursing wards each day:

  • Breakfast: 8.00–8.45 AM
  • Lunch: 12.30–1.00 PM
  • Dinner: 4.30–5.00 PM

You are welcome to collect supper 6.00–7.00 PM. If you are bedridden, supper will be served to you in your room. You can also buy food/snacks from the cafeteria in the main entrance of the hospital.

Cash & Valuables

You are responsible for your cash and valuables during your stay at the hospital. We recommend that you either leave your valuables at home, or ask a relative to take them home for you. If neither of these options are available to you, there is a lockable patient wardrobe in your room.
